The luxury Swiss watchmakers IWC chose Alicante port to launch the commemorative watch designed for the Volvo Ocean Race, the Portuguese Yacht Club stopwatch, VOR special edition. The event was attended by the likes of bullfighter Jose María Manzanares and Rafa Medina Duke of Feria, who boarded the Azaam yacht sponsored by the Swiss firm. Georges Kern, CEO of IWC and Ian Walker, captain of the Azaam were in charge of presenting the commemorative watch for the race.
